5 Ways To Make Money With Your Car
Let’s be honest. Raising a family is expensive. I forgot how much a teenage boy eats! Not to mention, the kid needs new shoes every day he wakes up. His feet have grown 2 shoe sizes in 6 months! No joke. He’d didn’t like my suggestion of going barefoot like I did walking to school uphill both ways when I was his age.
I need an extra job or side hustle just to put shoes on the kid. Can you relate?
Luckily, I am not alone. Budding entrepreneurs have come up with ways to make money with a car to help guys and gals in similar situations.

Turo is a service that lets individuals rent out their car. Basically, you create a free listing on the Turo site, list the dates your car is available for rent, and then you respond to requests. You can then meet the renter at a location of your choosing, perform a mutual inspection of the car, then off they go!
Turo does provide insurance for those who register in their protection plan. After the renter is done with the car, you meet them one more time for one last inspection of the car, then you exchange keys. Renters can then write reviews of those who rented their car. You’re not going to get rich by renting your car through Turo, but if you want to earn a few extra thousand dollars each year, this could be a good opportunity.
Turo covers your car with $1 million in liability insurance and 24/7 roadside assistance throughout the trip.
If renting your car to strangers doesn’t sit well with you, then how about joining Amazon’s delivery team? The home page for Amazon Flex states that you can earn $18 to $25 an hour, which is significantly higher than the Federal minimum wage. So you could be better off delivering packages for Amazon as say compared to flipping burgers at McDonald’s. Amazon Flex allows you to build your own schedule by choosing available blocks of time for your neighborhood and they offer a convenient app, which will get you on your way!
According to Amazon, drivers are on the road for less than six hours per day. Sophisticated software is used to plan delivery routes. Some drivers net between $150 and $200 per day, including tips.

The My Free Car service allows you to earn money and you don’t even have to change your routine. All you have to do is allow them to cover your car with an advertisement. You are paid based on your car size, location, and your daily driving habits. The My Free Car site states that you can make up to $400 per month. Each ad campaign can last up to three years. That’s not a bad way to passively make money with your car; that is, if you don’t mind your car completely covered with an ad.
Drivers are paid an average of $700 to $900 per month. Campaigns usually run a few months long according to Drew Livingston, president of Free Car Media
