Honda manufacturers the Fit, Civic, Accord, Insight, CRV, CRZ, Legend and the Odyssey. They were an early proponent of creating vehicles to focus on various needs and markets worldwide. For example, the Odyssey minivan and the Ridgeline are primarily for the American market.

Honda’s automotive making dreams could be traced back to 1963, with the T360, a small truck assembled for the Japanese marketplace. This was followed by two-door roadster, the S500 additionally introduced in 1963.

In 1965, they constructed a two door commercial delivery van, called the L700.

Honda’s first four-door sedan was the air-cooled, four-cylinder, gas-powered 1300 in 1969. The Civic is a hatchback with broad popularity worldwide, but it was not the first two-door hatchback. That title goes to the N360. Having gone through several generational changes, today the Civic is much more upmarket and bigger, plus it now slots between Accord and the Fit.

They entered into car production where Japanese manufacturing companies like Nissan and Toyota were making automobiles since before WWII.  They seem to instill a feeling to do things a little differently than its Japanese rivals. Its mainstay cars, such as the Accord and Civic have a front wheel drive powertrain, which is a Honda convention.

Honda makes a hybrid electric vehicle that competes with the Toyota Prius, Civic hybrid vehicle, as well as makes CR- and the Insight Z. They have a suite of safety features that help you sense things you might miss while driving. In some cases, their safety technology can help you avoid a collision or mitigate its severity.
