The 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 Includes The Most Luxurious Upgrades To Date
The 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 is all focused on luxury. It’s a far cry from my first experience in a Dodge pickup. My father inherited his Dad’s Dodge white pickup. It was later repainted candy apple red. Why my dad spent any money on this truck is a mystery. On cold winter days in Wisconsin, this beast would never start. And when it did start, it would choke out after awhile. This would set my dad off. He would say a few choice words a young man shouldn’t be hearing.
2018 Dodge Ram 1500 has come a long ways since the 70’s.
2018 Dodge Ram 1500 – A Truck-load Of Luxury Upgrades
Here’s a close look at the Ram 1500/2500 Limited Tungsten Edition and a few others. Tungsten has many hard metal qualities that also looks good as polished chrome accents, which blends in with the body color of the truck. This creates a sophisticated brushed chrome look that separates it from other trucks in the marketplace. Tungsten chrome is carried over to the wheels and adds an extra dimension to the hub caps.
A Touch of Class
The 2018’s luxurious chrome look is continued within the interior. When you climb into the driver’s seat, you’ll be greeted by more ultra high end leather than any other truck available. The leather has been compared to what you might find in your living room, right alongside real wood, to provide a complete aesthetic. The interior is colored in light frost and indigo with tan seats. The backseat pouch has a leather flap and large buckle, which can provide a more clean look. All of this was designed with consideration from consumers in select American cities who asked for these touches. This includes the all-weather floor mats or the snap in carpet. The radio is now updated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto complete with a color screen.
Don't Let The Good Looks Fool You. The 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 is Still Ram Tough,
The 2018 Ram Limited Tungsten Edition comes in 1500, 2500 and 3500 series pick up trucks. The trucks range from light duty to heavy duty, which can tow from 10,000 to 30,000 lbs. There’s a great A YouTube video shows some guys from Texas who took the 2018 Ram and a 3500 one ton dually out for a test drive. This test drive included towing a 30,000 lb. fifth wheel (a large RV the size of a semitrailer).
The guys had an opportunity to see the trucks in person at the Texas State Fair, where they got inside the Laramie Edition. They love the leather being everywhere, which includes Western style stitching in the suede headliners and there’s real wood and galvanized steel accents. But don’t let the good looks fool you. The 2018 Ram has up to 930 pound feet of torque, which gives it enough power to tow a house. For those concerned about the bed of the truck, Ram has you covered with a steel bed, which they show is more resistant to dents than say, Ford.
A Combination of Luxury and Technology
Ram seems to really love the great state of Texas, as they also have a Longhorn South Fork Edition. This is their Texas dedicated truck. They are available in three quarter and one ton versions. It will be available with crew cabs or quad cabs. The Lone Star Silver Edition comes with the polished chrome accents everywhere and a long list of features, including a new chrome grill, a Lone Star Silver badge and side steps. The interior is a combination of luxury and technology. It’s a got unique high back bucket seats and comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This truck is priced at $45,000.
A Continued Focus On The Working Man
Ram also has a Harvest Edition, which is geared towards Texas farmers. The farmers they talked to wanted a hard working truck that combines capability, technology and good looks; and that’s how they came up with the Harvest edition with features that are designed to work. These features include: on and off road tires, black side steps that hide the mud, protective spray bed liner, bumper step for access to the bed, mud flaps, skip plates, tow hooks, and a one inch list to help farmers drive across all types of terrain.
A Few Comfort Features You Will Appreciate
A new suite of technology is also offered. The new technology includes adaptive cruise control with the aforementioned stop and go functionality. There’s also a pre collision assist with pedestrian monitoring. It even has available a 4G LTE hotspot and a BNL audio system.
